By using ReVerbal, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please also read our Privacy Policy, Data Processing Addendum, AI Transparency Statement, Sub-processors, and Data Locations.

1. Service Description

ReVerbal provides classroom transcription and optional lesson summarisation. The service is in early access and evaluation. Features may change, and the service may be interrupted. We may modify or discontinue features without notice.

2. Acceptable Use

You must be an adult educator. ReVerbal is designed for teacher voice only. We recommend using a teacher-only microphone. There are no student accounts. You must use the service lawfully and in compliance with applicable education policies. If you choose to capture or retain student personal information, you are responsible for obtaining necessary consent and compliance with applicable laws.

3. Data Processing and Roles

You are the data controller. ReVerbal acts as a data processor. Speech-to-text processing is performed by Deepgram (United States). ReVerbal does not store audio. International processing occurs. See our Data Processing Addendum and Privacy Policy for details.

5. Data Storage and Retention

Transcripts are stored only when you opt in. Default retention is 30 days with automatic deletion. You may delete earlier. On account deletion, your data is removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

6. AI and Summaries

ReVerbal does not train AI models on customer data. Summaries are generated from transcript text. We do not profile students or use automated decision-making.

7. Accuracy and Limitations

Transcription and summaries may contain errors. Do not use for high-stakes decisions such as assessment or discipline.

8. Security and Incidents

We implement reasonable security measures. We have an incident response process and will notify as required by law or contract.

9. Fees

Early access pricing may apply. Trial and cancellation terms will be communicated separately. Refunds are handled in accordance with our policies.

10. Intellectual Property and Feedback

You retain ownership of your content. ReVerbal has a licence to process it for delivering the service. Feedback may be used to improve the product.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReVerbal excludes liability for consequential, indirect, incidental, or special loss or damage. Our liability is limited as permitted under Australian law.

12. Liability Cap

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReVerbal's aggregate liability for any claims arising from or in connection with these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount paid by you to ReVerbal in the twelve months preceding the claim (or, if no fees were paid, one hundred Australian dollars).

13. Indemnity

You indemnify ReVerbal and its officers, directors, and employees against any claims, losses, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your breach of these Terms, your use of the Service, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.

14. Suspension and Termination

ReVerbal may suspend or terminate your access to the Service for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or at our discretion. You may terminate by ceasing use and requesting account deletion. Upon termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

15. Force Majeure

ReVerbal is not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, pandemic, natural disaster, labour disputes, or failure of third-party services.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
